Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Administrator to join our team. The Accounts Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable and receivable functions, including the supervision of accounting clerks and bookkeepers. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
Job Description: Accounts Administrator
* Supervise and mentor accounting clerks and bookkeepers, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Oversee the processing of invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
* Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor and customer communication.
* Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare and analyse financial reports and assist with budgeting processes.
* Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
* Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
* Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
* Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable, preferably in a supervisory role.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Account Administrator or in a similar role within finance or accounting.
* Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay: From £30,960.00 per year
