We have a unique opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanical Fire Pump Engineer. We will teach you how to install, service, test, and repair fire suppression Pump systems and equipment.

Your normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Inclusive of a lunch break directed by your manager. Hours may vary depending on customer and team requirements.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Service, test, and install the appropriate Fire Suppression systems and pumps; disassemble and reconstruct equipment.
* Perform installation/servicing/testing and repairs on systems and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and specifications.
* Install systems and equipment based on relevant fabrication drawings and specifications.
* Accurately complete engineering work reports, handover certificates, and pressure test certificates or checklists as required.
* Undertake other duties as assigned by your line manager.

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

This thrilling opportunity is field-based, meaning that you will work alongside our highly skilled engineers, traveling between our clients’ sites each day. Our work may also require heavy lifting and working from heights.
