EMBRACE is part of the East Berkshire Co-Production Pathway. It is a modified Therapeutic Community accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists and is located within Recovery services.
We are looking for an innovative and dynamic Assistant Psychologist,who is currently either employed or on a placement within Berkshire Healthcare, with skills and experience of working in groups and with individuals with non-psychotic, chaotic and challenging disorders, including personality disorder and other emotional intensity problems, as well as proven ability to develop working relationships across services and with other agencies.
The role includes supporting adults with complex mental health needs and possible substance misuse to live as ordinary lives as possible. There is an emphasis on group work and encouraging service users to participate in health and wellbeing activities to sustain mental health and coping strategies, with the aim of increased social inclusion, recovery and independence.

The “must haves” for this role:
• An upper second class (2:1) honours degree or higher in psychology
• Entitlement to graduate membership of a core professional body (i.e. BPS, BABCP, Social Work England, HCPC, NMC, or equivalent)
• Previous experience of delivering CBT informed interventions under supervision
• Previous experience working with people experiencing significant mental health difficulties.
