Position: Line Leader
We are now looking for a Line Leader to join our team at IPS Skelmersdale on a full-time and permanent basis.
Shift Pattern:
Monday-Friday rotational shift - Hours to be discussed during interview.
Salary:
£14.78 per hour.
Job Description
To manage production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with QA and safety standards. To be a role model for best practice at all times, and provide support to Line Leaders where appropriate.
* Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis.
* Motivate a team of people to meet production targets.
* Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI).
* Use onsite Warehouse Management systems effectively.
* Adhere to and promote best practices in health, safety, and quality regulations.
* Complete all paperwork and systems accurately according to company procedures.
* Ensure compliance with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
* Maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards.
* Assist in developing a skills matrix for all production workers.
* Support the development of Line Leaders for success planning.
* Assist in training and developing new starters.
* Act as a role model for best practice.
* Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Engage in the company’s PDP program.
* Conduct disciplinary investigations following company procedures.
* Drive personal development through training and experience.
* Perform other duties reasonably within the scope of the role.
Qualifications
* Preferably experience in food or packing industry.
* Experience working in a customer-led environment with changing priorities.
* Positive and clear communication skills.
* Foster an open and collaborative culture.
* Encourage new ideas from others.
* Knowledge of company procedures and compliance.
* Ability to positively lead a team, including temporary labour.
