The Role
We are seeking a visionary Digital Director to lead and execute SZCs strategy for Digital, IT, Data, and Information Management.
Reporting to the PMO Director, you will be a critical enabler for the efficient delivery of the Sizewell C project, driving innovation, streamlining operations, and ensuring the projects data and digital infrastructure meet the highest standards.
This role offers an opportunity to influence one of the UKs most significant infrastructure projects while working closely with stakeholders across government, regulators, and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
As Digital Director, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and deliver a comprehensive digital, IT, data, and information management strategy that aligns with SZCs goals and leverages lessons from Hinkley Point C.
2. Data Governance & Management: Oversee SZCs data architecture and standardised management practices to ensure trusted, validated data underpins decision-making.
3. Digital Transformation: Lead the adoption of cutting-edge tools and lean processes to modernise work practices within the organisation and across the supply chain.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams, external regulators, and partners to ensure collaborative success.
5. Team Development: Manage and inspire a high-performing team, ensuring ongoing skills development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
6. Operational Excellence: Manage IT service delivery, contracts, and frameworks to deliver robust, value-for-money systems that enhance efficiency and transparency.
7. Governance & Risk Management: Oversee budget allocation, digital risk prioritisation, and contract management to deliver cost-effective solutions while safeguarding project objectives.
What Were Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will be a forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of delivering transformative digital and IT solutions in complex, large-scale projects.
Skills & Expertise:
1. Strategic vision for long-term digital and data transformation aligned with organisational goals.
2. Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, IT infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
3. Experience with Building Information Modelling (BIM) and ISO19650 standards.
4. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
5. Proven ability to manage budgets, mitigate risks, and deliver measurable outcomes.
6. Expertise in change management and fostering innovation in large organisations.
Experience:
1. Senior technology leadership experience in complex, high-value projects.
2. Hands-on experience driving digital transformation initiatives and leveraging advanced technologies.
3. Demonstrated success in managing large-scale data, IT, and digital programmes from inception to execution.
4. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
