HV Wireman - Wales

* Rates: 31- 35 p/hour (Inside IR35)

Turner Lovell's client is a leading electrical engineering company based in the UK with a successful track record delivering electricity transmission and distribution projects across the country and Europe. You will be working for a company that prioritizes investment in both their staff and cutting-edge technology, and this commitment has propelled them to become a major player in the energy sector.
Turner Lovell is currently seeking experienced Wiremen/Electricians to join our client's team working on renewable energy projects throughout the UK. This specific role is based in Swansea, Wales, with a project duration of approximately 3 months. You will be involved in various electrical installation activities, including new builds, extensions to existing infrastructure, and high-voltage projects.
Duties:
* Assembly and installation of electrical equipment on medium & high-voltage renewable energy projects
* Cable glanding and terminating
* Installation of control and protection relay panels
* Understand red and green line diagrams to implement into scope of work
* Install LV / HV switchgear, multi-core cables & associated electrical equipment
* Attend toolbox talks and actively contribute where required
Requirements:
* Tickets required for the position: CCNSG/CSCS - Safety Passport, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, National Grid Authorisations, IPAF 3a & 3b
* Panel Experience
* Experience working on a project in a H&S critical environment
* Ability to work both independently and within a team
* Willingness to learn, communicate and uphold SHEQ / other required standards whilst on site
* Working experience with current wiring regulations and interpreting engineering line diagrams (Wireperson)
* Strong HV Substation experience (132kV - 400kV)
