We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated KS2 Intervention Teacher to join our dedicated team. Role Overview: As a KS2 Intervention Teacher, you will work closely with small groups or individual pupils who require additional support to improve their academic skills, particularly in areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics. You will assess their needs, plan and deliver tailored interventions, and monitor their progress to ensure that they achieve their personal learning goals. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy for KS2 pupils. - Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs. - Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCO to create personalized learning plans. - Maintain records of pupil progress and report on outcomes to parents and staff. - Promote positive learning attitudes and build pupils' confidence and self-esteem. - Provide feedback to pupils and parents on progress and areas for development. - Deliver interventions to Year 6 children who will be completing their SATS exams. Essential Criteria: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. - Experience teaching or supporting learning in Key Stage 2. - Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and intervention strategies. - Excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. - Passion for helping children overcome learning barriers and achieve success. - Ability to inspire and motivate children with diverse learning needs. Desirable Criteria: - Experience working with pupils with additional learning needs or in an intervention role. - Knowledge of a range of interventions for literacy and numeracy.
