St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Supervisor to join the team in our Yeovil Furniture Store. This is a new role within our team, and you will join us on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £23,500 per annum based on working 37 hours per week. Joining the team in our successful Old Cinema Furniture Shop in Yeovil, you will play a key role in supporting the store. When Shop Managers and Deputies are unavailable or on leave, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the shop. Working as part of a dedicated team of colleagues and volunteers, you will help the shop on some of its busiest days. It's safe to say no two days are same here, but a typical day may involve: Managing the shop in the absence of the Shop Manager and the Deputy Manager. Receiving and sorting donations Responding to customer enquiries in a warm and approachable way Creatively merchandising the store Processing sales and Gift Aid Helping the team meet or exceed annual performance targets. This role is a physically demanding position within a busy retail environment which includes the lifting of donated goods. What will you be good at? We offer ongoing training and guidance to support you in your new role. You will need to: Demonstrate excellent customer service Good communication skills Have experience working within the Retail sector This role would suit someone who already holds the experience and competencies of what makes a great Sales Assistant, but is looking for an opportunity to develop their management skills.
