An opportunity has arisen for a Programme Cost Controller to join a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of the role is to support the Programme Team in executing within the agreed budget for all aspects of Design, Development, Production and Through Life Support, as part of the Decarb team achieving Real Zero by 2030 across Fortescue.
The Decarb Programme is the Number 1 priority across Fortescue and the T264 team based at Fortescue ZERO in Oxfordshire are responsible for delivering the battery power systems to electrify the mining operations in Perth, AU by 2030.
What you will do
1. To maintain all the cost targets within the T264 programme for Design, Development and Initial Production.
2. To maintain the granular level cost detail which ties back and aligns with the financial reporting in the ERP system.
3. To use the granular level cost details to hold the budget owners to account for their commitments.
4. To understand, monitor and forecast programme cashflow and profit.
5. To identify and develop opportunities (with real time/cost benefits).
6. To support the finance team with budgeting and forecasting reflecting on targets.
7. To manage booking codes and reconciliation between the programme and finance team.
8. To track revenue and work with the finance team to support revenue recognition activities.
9. To track and monitor labour bookings across the programme to support workforce planning.
10. To be our frugality conscience.
11. To be a key contributor to the regular T264 Programme Finance review.
About you
1. Proven track record of managing complex development and production programme costs.
2. Experience with international intercompany trading.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
5. Comprehensive experience in stakeholder management, ability to influence outcomes with key stakeholders.
6. Experienced with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
7. Base understanding of and the ability to forecast and track accrued costs vs cash costs.
8. Understanding of earned value.
9. A base understanding of accounting concepts would be beneficial.
