Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Senior Brand Manager to join the NESCAFÉ Coffee team based in Park House, Crawley. This role will report directly into the Marketing Manager and will see you work with one of the world’s biggest coffee brands, NESCAFÉ, to deliver best-in-class marketing activities that support us to achieve our commercial objectives.
A day in the life of...
As a Senior Brand Manager, you will be responsible for the full NESCAFÉ Azera portfolio, P&L, and communication creation. You will have autonomy to lead the Azera brand with the Zone team by creating a clear communication strategy, identifying new growth opportunities, and leading key I&R projects to drive share in the market.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
1. Leading the development of a clear brand strategy and three-year brand plans, ensuring all brand activities adhere to brand purpose & strategy.
2. Delivering agreed sales, market share, and profit targets for the brands for which you’re responsible.
3. Leading the media plan strategy and implementation for your area of the portfolio, investing wisely leveraging strategy and econometrics data.
4. Developing the campaign idea for Azera and bringing it to life across the full funnel, in conjunction with the Zone & SBU team.
5. Turning shopper & consumer insight and the category strategy into actionable and executable initiatives.
6. Building compelling commercial propositions across pack/price architecture, channel solutions, and leading innovations from concept to launch.
7. Developing a comprehensive understanding of the UK Coffee category including media, trade, competition, and consumer behaviour to identify marketing issues and opportunities.
8. Working collaboratively with our above-market teams & technical teams to deliver a strong NPD pipeline to drive growth.
9. Constantly evaluating the effectiveness of marketing programmes & brand performance, adjusting plans in line with learnings.
10. Closely monitoring industry and competitor activity, to ensure plans are maintained and adapted in a constantly changing, competitive FMCG environment.
What will make you successful?
Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in the development of campaign ideas, TVCs, and 360 campaigns who has exceptionally strong commercial acumen coupled with the ability to influence well within the matrix to deliver the best brand experiences alongside our above-market colleagues.
You will be passionate, tenacious, results-focused, and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. Acting as an ambassador for the brand, you will have strong project management and analytical skills whilst being a conscientious team player. Pro-activity and enthusiasm are essential elements for this role. You’ll also be able to:
1. Influence at senior levels both internally and externally, locally & across Zone Europe.
2. Proactively lead the brand plans & initiatives, aligning key stakeholders at the right moments.
3. Communicate strongly in both small forums but also demonstrate strong presentation skills in wide audiences (from internal conferences to customer presentations).
4. Competently manage several sizable projects and work streams from concept to delivery.
5. Demonstrate your experience of leading new product launches.
