Key responsibilities: - To maintain the basic condition of the machines within their line and perform improvement activities, as well as repairing breakdowns. - Driving a safe culture and eliminate safety risks. - Ensuring that all products are manufactured according to quality standards. - Ensuring data systems are used effectively and embedded into everyday use. - Empower and inspire people by supporting the line team and developing their capability. - Drive continuous excellence and continuous improvements in the key operational business processes throughout manufacturing. - As a key member of the Maintenance Working Groups (MWG), you will collaborate with the Autonomous Working Groups (AWG-production teams) to drive improvements using tools such as inspections, abnormalities identification, centerlining, breakdown analysis, and preventive and predictive maintenance. What will make you successful - Educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 or hold a recognised engineering qualification in both mechanical and electrical engineering. - Qualification in automation engineering and experience with PLC control systems desirable. - Proven experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment. - A passion for continuous improvement. - Experience in planned preventative asset maintenance. - Experience in root cause analysis tools/problem solving methodology. - Understanding of lean manufacturing tools including TPM. - Proven mechanical comprehension & food safety/food handling awareness. - Ability to understand and adhere to strict hygiene rules and safety compliance standards.
