An opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Information Management Team to help deliver its obligations under data protection legislation and the Freedom of Information Act.
The successful candidate will be undertaking and completing a range of information requests for both internal and external customers, so experience with data protection requests and FOI requests is essential.
The role will also involve being part of corporate initiatives centred around good information governance practices, advising other services on the information governance aspects of their workflows.
Applicants will need to demonstrate experience of undertaking requests received via the above legislation, as well as a sound knowledge of and working to recognised best practice around information management.
Experience of providing specialist data protection advice and guidance within the Team’s other areas of responsibility, such as records management, is desirable.
This is a hybrid role (office and home working available).
