About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and visually driven Junior Art Director to join our 1UL team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the visual development and execution of social-first campaigns for some of Unilever's most beloved brands. You will be working alongside experienced creatives, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a busy advertising agency environment. Key Responsibilities Visual Conceptualization: Contribute to brainstorming sessions and develop visual concepts for social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and objectives. Art Direction: Assist in the art direction of photoshoots, video shoots, and other visual content creation. Design Execution: Design graphics, visuals, and layouts for social media posts, stories, and other digital assets. Social Modular Content: Develop and adapt visual assets for various social media platforms and formats, ensuring optimal performance and engagement. Social-First Thinking: Develop visual ideas that are inherently social and designed to thrive on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. Brief Interpretation: Dissect and decipher client briefs to understand objectives, target audiences, and key visual messaging. Research & Insights: Conduct research on visual trends, competitor activity, and emerging social media platforms to inform visual development. Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the creative team, including copywriters, designers, and videographers. Feedback & Iteration: Actively listen to feedback and use it to improve visual designs. Project Management: Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to. Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on the latest visual trends, design styles, and platform updates. Platform Expertise: Utilize various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) to understand their unique visual requirements and best practices. Key Skills And Requirements Creative Skills & Experience: Strong conceptual skills and a visual storytelling mindset. Experience in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). A portfolio showcasing visual design work (please provide a link to your online portfolio or attach examples to your application). Understanding of visual storytelling and digital publishing.
