EXCITING OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an additional Receptionist to join our well-established team, here at Cootes Veterinary Clinic. This is a part-time permanent position working 20 hour per week between the hours of 8:30am - 7:00pm which will include working one Saturday morning in three until 1:00pm. About The Role The Receptionist is responsible for helping keep the practice clean, open and safe. You will be the first point of contact for clients and the general public both on the telephone and in person, so will be required to demonstrate a professional and knowledgeable impression to promote the practice. The successful candidate must be friendly and enthusiastic, some Veterinary Practice experience is an advantage but not essential, but you must have a great attitude and a willingness to learn. You will need to be confident and able to interact with our clients providing a high level of service and customer care. You must also be able to work on your own, without supervision, when required. Your Responsibilities Will Include Provide an excellent experience to all patients and customers. Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors. Answer the telephone in a professional manner. Greet visitors in a friendly manner. Booking, cancelling and changing appointments, and follow up treatment as needed. Answer general administrative questions or direct them to the appropriate party. Deal with some admin responsibility. Quickly resolve issues related to phone, emails or paperwork. Processing and recording payments Dispensing medications/prescriptions Keeping client/patient records up to date Maintaining stock levels Ensuring the reception area and consulting rooms are kept clean and tidy at all times.
