About the Role:
A primary school in east London is looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young child with additional needs and challenging behaviour. Your role will involve providing personalised support, implementing behaviour management strategies, and helping him engage with learning in a positive way.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 support for SEN and challenging behaviour.
2. Implement tailored learning and behaviour strategies.
3. Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
4. Support the child in developing social and emotional skills.
5. Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
Requirements:
* Essential experience working with children with SEN and challenging behaviour.
* A clean and enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
* A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
