The Interdisciplinary Ed Tech Lab (IETL) is seeking to appoint an eLearning Assistant to provide valuable support and quality assurance as the IETL engages in co-creation of high-quality digital learning experiences. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to all phases of our learning experience lifecycle, undertaking a variety of cross-functional tasks. We, therefore, seek a highly organised candidate who has excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for education and technology. This is a fixed term role for a period of 12 months open to internal and external candidates. Internal candidates may be considered on a secondment opportunity.
You will support the strategic aims of Imperial College London, the Institute of Extended Learning (IEL), the IETL, and our stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of digital education that is both innovative and critical to the student experience.
Responsibilities:
* Provide general support for design sessions and assist learning designers in producing key deliverables such as kick-off sessions and course design plans.
* Generate and maintain requisite documentation (storyboards, video scripts, wireframes) for digital learning projects.
* Support the authoring process for learning experiences, ensuring core standards around consistency, accessibility, inclusivity, and communication are met.
* Support content development across a variety of digital education platforms, as required.
* Create inclusive and accessible learning environments by demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity.
Minimum Requirements:
* Educated to a degree level (or equivalent) with professional experience related to duties outlined in this post.
* Experience of using a variety of digital education platforms and technologies.
* Experience of working with key instructional design processes and documentation (design storyboarding, scripting, beta testing).
* Work within a team taking a pedagogy-first and learner-centred approach, working across multiple digital education platforms to deliver successful projects.
* Willingness to learn new frameworks and technologies within a highly collaborative environment.
