The Role
Procurement's role is to support Deliveroo in delivering increased profit and growth through a well-managed and sustainable supplier base. Reporting to the Head of Category, the Procurement Manager will be part of a fast-growing tech startup. You’ll be joining a team responsible for circa £650m of spend and tasked with an Exec sponsored ‘Cost Out’ initiative in 2025/26.
What you'll do
* Develop and Execute Procurement Strategies: Create and implement procurement strategies that deliver value, cost savings, and operational efficiencies.
* Supplier Management and Negotiation: Manage key supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts to secure the best terms.
* Risk Management: Conduct supplier risk assessments and manage third-party risk.
* Strategic Sourcing: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including competitive bidding and supplier selection.
* Supplier Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor supplier KPIs and SLAs.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities support wider business objectives.
* Contract Lifecycle Management: Lead contract negotiations and ensure contract compliance.
* Drive ESG and Sustainability Initiatives: Support Deliveroo’s ESG goals by identifying sustainable procurement opportunities.
* Process Optimisation: Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes.
* Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse spend data and prepare regular reports.
What You’ll Bring
* 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end procurement processes.
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
* Proactive, outcome-driven approach.
* Risk management expertise.
* Cross-functional collaboration.
* Experience with procurement technologies.
* Data-driven decision-making.
* Commercial acumen.
* Knowledge of ESG and sustainability practices.
Preferred Qualifications
* MCIPS qualification or working towards it
* Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
* Experience in managing multiple spend categories
