Scrum Master
Glasgow
As a Barclays Scrum Master, you will have overall accountability for coordinating and leading technology delivery teams to success and managing team backlog, removing impediments, facilitating scrum ceremonies and enabling the scrum teams to deliver through pace and quality metrics. We service the Compliance and Financial Crime Functions within Barclays and are a global team of c600 colleagues situated in the major location hubs: Glasgow, Pune, Whippany, London and New York.
Barclays is one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions, established in 1690, with a legacy of success, quality, and innovation. We offer careers that provide endless opportunity – helping millions of individuals and businesses thrive and creating financial and digital solutions that the world now takes for granted.
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please discuss the working pattern requirements for the role you are applying for with the hiring manager. Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

• Assisting the teams to continually improve and demonstrate tangible performance improvements through the use and interpretation of team metrics

• Interlocking with project manager(s) to ensure delivery to plan and implications of any delay to dependent changes, sharing this holistic understanding with the rest of the team
• Identifying, quantifying and defining mitigations for risks and issues that could impact delivery and ensure these are reported effectively
What we’re looking for:
• Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Professional or equivalent (i.e. Scrum.org or Scrum Alliance qualifications)
• Experience of using Scrum, Kanban or a combination of both
• Experience of effecting organisational change to achieve agility
• Very good interpersonal skills including facilitation
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience building systems in the financial services organization and in financial crime domain
