A well-established accountancy practice based in the Woodford area of Stockport, Cheshire is recruiting for an experienced and qualified Accountant to join their Senior management team on a full-time, permanent basis. They are seeking a Senior Accounts Manager / Senior Client Manager to lead a small accounting team and complex client portfolio. They are a fast-growing accountancy firm who have recently acquired another office in the area, and you will be joining at an excellent, yet stable period of growth within the business. Portfolio / Client Manager Job Overview
The successful Senior Accountant will work closely with the firm's Partners and will look after a portfolio of SMEs, OMBs, and HNWIs. The practice seeks a great communicator who is happy to work closely with clients in the office and on-site to grow their SMEs.
1. Preparing reports, budgets & financial statements
2. Controlling and forecasting the companies' income and expenditure
3. Assisting in the full production of month-end P&L and balance sheets
4. Managing a portfolio of clients
5. Reconciliation of accounts when required
6. VAT returns
7. Providing pro-active business advice wherever possible
8. Advising business owners on growth opportunities
9. Managing a team of Junior Accountants / Semi Seniors
Portfolio / Client Manager Job Requirements
1. A minimum of 4 years' experience within an Accountancy practice is required
2. Team management experience
3. An excellent knowledge of digital and cloud-based software would be advantageous
4. ACCA / ACA qualified (or final exams remaining)
5. Ambitious and keen to ensure the growth of the team, clients, and practice overall; potential partnership opportunities available for the right individual
Portfolio / Client Manager Salary & Benefits
1. Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (flexible depending on skill and experience) + Bonus
2. Hours: 09:00 - 17:00 (Monday - Friday and flexible)
