What the Role Involves:
Centralising Purchasing Operations
* Oversee a £3.5M annual spend across 1,500 SKUs and streamline procurement processes currently managed by multiple departments.
* Design and implement a cutting-edge purchasing system integrated into the ERP software
Delivering Strategic Value
* Establish budgets, negotiate supplier terms, and develop detailed specifications in partnership with department heads.
* Strengthen supplier relationships and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.
What You Bring to the Role:
* Experience: A proven track record with 5+ years in procurement or purchasing, with a history of delivering cost savings and process improvements.
* Technical Knowledge: Experience in handling raw materials, technical components, or products in manufacturing.
* Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data and supplier management.
* ERP Proficiency: Familiarity with using ERP or purchasing systems.
