The Best Connection are recruiting for a part time Factory Maintenance Engineer to work 3 days a week in Walmer Bridge.
Job Overview:
* We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Factory Maintenance Engineer.
* The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and continuous maintenance of machinery, equipment, and systems within the manufacturing facility.
* This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance on factory equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Respond quickly to breakdowns and system malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
* Perform regular inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities to identify and address potential issues.
* Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately.
* Coordinate with production teams to schedule downtime for maintenance tasks without affecting production targets.
* Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
* Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for maintenance and operational processes.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with the latest industry technologies and practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or relevant work experience).
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and equipment.
* Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting machinery issues.
* Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
* Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and robotics is a plus.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices.
Comfortable working in a factory environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery
