Stephen James Consulting are partnering with one of their growing elderly care providers in the search for an experienced General Manager for their flagship home based in South West London.
This large state-of-the-art care home offers outstanding dementia, nursing, and residential care. The home provides residents with an extensive choice of facilities while maintaining a home-from-home atmosphere.
Key responsibilities include:
* To handle, develop, and evaluate all aspects of service provision within policy guidelines, ensuring that all important legislation, organisational policies and procedures, and codes of practice are adhered to.
* To be responsible for the management and supervision of staff, enabling them to maximise their potential through leadership, mentoring, and support.
* Establish and maintain in the home an atmosphere and practice of care based on the values of the provider, deriving from a concern for the individual and mutual respect between residents and staff.
To be shortlisted for this key role of General Manager, you will need the following experience:
* You will ideally hold a clinical qualification (RGN), but it is not essential. Significant experience in leading multiple healthcare teams within large care home environments is required.
* A proven track record of commercial acumen.
* Experience in managing organisational change effectively, leading to service improvement.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ideally, you would have had previous commissioning experience (but it is not essential).
* Have an excellent understanding of the needs of older people and those affected by dementia, with a desire for delivering exceptional care standards.
* Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of care homes and CQC, be highly organised, smartly presented, a good people manager, and passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
* Strong experience in managing financial budgets.
The role of General Manager offers a salary of £85,000 - £90,000 with an excellent benefits package. The salary range is dependent on candidate experience.
