Let us introduce the role AWE is currently recruiting for a Workforce Service Lead to support Quality within the COO organisation, reporting to the Head of Delivery. The Workforce Service Lead is a key strategic role responsible for ensuring that workforce planning and capability deployment align with business needs across multiple business units. This role requires deep insight into the ebb and flow of program demands, balancing forecasted and actual workforce requirements to maximise operational efficiency and business outcomes. The Workforce Service Lead will work closely with operational leaders to optimise resource utilisation, cost management, efficiency & effectiveness, and support enterprise Sales & Operations Planning processes (S&OP). By providing real-time insights and strategic workforce solutions, this role ensures that the organisation can meet both short-term operational needs and long-term business objectives. Who are we looking for? Manage the planning and deployment of a team within the relevant business area in the provision of a quality service defining appropriate tasks and objectives to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved and maintained. Lead and manage the team in the in the provision of a quality service in the absence of the relevant Head of Delivery where appropriate. Provide leadership and awareness on the Quality service delivery model in the relevant business area. Support an optimised and cohesive approach to delivery through collaborative working. Focus on identifying and implementing changes to improve the quality service delivery. Deployment of resource to maximise utilisation and efficiency of service delivery, identifying any future capability/skills requirements to deliver the programme and ensuring this is captured in the Quality Strategic Workforce Plan, through the relevant Head of Delivery. Provide suitable governance and reporting to monitor quality performance and communicate with relevant Head of Delivery accordingly. Responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of financial control are applicable to the delivery of a quality service. Lead strategic assessment and development of required skills & knowledge to support both current and future capabilities. Working with key stakeholders to align and deliver appropriate training strategy. Support the relevant Head of Delivery in wider stakeholder engagement with the Executive, SLT, Customer, and Regulators. Maintain and promote high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality and invariably demonstrate personal leadership qualities. We do need you to have the following: Proven experience in workforce planning, operations management, or resource deployment within a complex business environment. understanding of S&OP processes and their impact on workforce strategies. Ability to analyse and interpret workforce data, develop metrics & KPIs, and report to a senior level. Experience working across multiple departments, sites, or business units, balancing competing priorities. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to workforce challenges.
