Responsibilities
Analyse data, contribute to forecasts and U.S. regional, global city and country analysis for company publications. Contribute to our website commentary by covering economic indicators, and work with senior staff on research and consulting projects.
1. Gain expertise sufficient to act as direct resource to external and internal clients for certain states, countries and metro areas.
2. General spreadsheet analysis; gather and interpret economic data for internal and external clients.
3. Assume responsibility for forecasting and analyzing sub-national and country economies with assistance from peer editor, supervisor, and product editor.
4. May contribute to research for consulting projects and research articles including summarizing and organizing materials and producing charts, tables and maps for client reports.
5. May learn and use database management software to access and transform data. Adapt existing programs for new uses.
6. May provide routine client deliveries under supervision.
7. May be responsible for development and improvement of proprietary data and economic indicators.
Qualifications
8. Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related field.
9. Relevant internship or coursework required.
10. Strong writing skills and experience in the use of statistical software packages.
11. Must be a motivated, responsible individual who can work well with others and independently.
12. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work directly with clients are a must.
13. Background that involves some understanding U.S. regional economies and/or European economies is a plus.
