Join our experienced team at Berkshire Healthcare, based at either Whitley Health Clinic or Southcote Clinic in Reading, working alongside a dedicated group of Health Visitors, Staff Nurses, and Nursery Nurses. Together, we provide health and development services to children aged 0-5 and their families across diverse areas in Reading.
You’ll be a qualified Health Visitor, registered as a Specialist Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) and active on the NMC register. Main duties of the job
* Work closely with other healthcare professionals and agencies to ensure children and families receive the best support possible.
* Assess the health and development needs of children and families, using appropriate assessment and risk tools at every visit.
* Support breastfeeding and parent-infant relationships, following the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
* Ensure that the care we provide respects the family’s race, culture, religion, and language.
* Be vigilant about safeguarding and follow appropriate procedures to protect vulnerable families.
* Collaborate with local authorities to offer comprehensive support to families.

* A qualified Health Visitor who has completed the SCPHN and is active on the NMC register.
* A non-medical prescriber.
* A passion for working with children and families, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and agencies.
* A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Education/Qualifications

* S.L.I.C.E/ENB 998 or equivalent
