Job Description
Job Duties:
* Provide specialised educational support to secondary level students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Create individualised learning plans and resources to meet the diverse needs of students
* Deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to the specific learning requirements of each student
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
* Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
* Experience working with students with SEN in a secondary school setting
* Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
* Specialist training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a SEN Tutor in a secondary school environment
* Proven track record of improving academic outcomes for students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
* Comprehensive understanding of SEN legislation and best practises
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Experience using assistive technology to support SEN students
Working Conditions:
* Part-time hours, typically during school term times
* Work closely with SEN coordinators and other school staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
