What will I be doing as a MRF Supervisor?
Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you will be supervising the shift operations at a busy MRF. Duties will include the following:
1. Day-to-day management of a large team alongside the cover supervisor and picking Cabin team leader.
2. Co-ordinate with Bulk Haulage & Trading colleagues to ensure the provision of adequate resources to move material into and off site, in a timely manner.
3. Assist site management to ensure daily production targets are achieved & production time is maximised at the facility.
4. Maintain Shift Logs and provide daily feedback on performance to teams.
5. Carry out employee inductions, briefings, and training.
6. Ensure Waste Acceptance Checks on incoming material are carried out, and that rejections are in line with that specific customer’s contract.
7. Ensure the segregation of all recyclable materials at the facility is maximised.
8. Control Maintenance and Housekeeping activities to ensure all are carried out in a safe manner and conform to the Safe Systems of Work and Company Policies.
9. Promote a culture and operating process that keeps focus on health and safety.
10. Ensure all work equipment within their area is used and maintained in a safe manner, all defects reported, and a high standard of housekeeping is maintained.
11. Ensuring that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
12. Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
What are the requirements? (Experience and qualifications)
The applicant must be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team. A flexible approach to work will be advantageous; mobile plant licenses would be advantageous, but training will be provided.
The successful candidate will either already hold or be expected to achieve:
* IOSH Managing Safely Qualification
* COTC treatment of non-hazardous waste
