Position Available: Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: Greater Manchester (1-2 days onsite)
Salary: Up to £48,000 DoE + Bonus
Experience needed: We are looking for a manufacturing-biased professional who has had experience of validating suppliers within a complex engineering environment such as aerospace, defence, or automotive.
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen in an expanding team responsible for the technical validation of the external supply chain to ensure the successful delivery of parts required for full-rate production. This role requires experience in manufacturing engineering, quality, and project delivery, as well as a strong understanding of industrial validation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess and validate supplier capability to meet requirements.
2. Support suppliers in developing robust manufacturing systems and control plans to ensure on-quality, on-time, and on-cost delivery in series production.
3. Undertake industrial validation activities, including Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews in preparation for series production.
4. Manage a portfolio of suppliers across multiple projects on a day-to-day basis.
