Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the assembly, integration and testing of hyperspectral imaging systems, including optics, imaging sensors, spectral filters, electronics, and mechanical components, following established procedures and quality guidelines.
2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hyperspectral imaging systems.
3. Train and mentor junior technicians ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
4. Perform hands-on assembly work, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to maintain production flow and meet quality standards.
5. Work closely with engineers to document and maintain assembly and test equipment and work instructions.
6. Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
7. Other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills:
1. The successful candidate will have experience working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment with a demonstrated ability to complete precision alignment tasks, maintain production records, and follow written work instructions.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
3. Knowledge of quality control processes and experience implementing and maintaining quality standards.
4. Experience with optical alignment and use of electronic instrumentation.
5. Ability to enter and analyze data in Excel worksheets.
6. Written and verbal communications proficiency.
7. Self-starter with a track record of manufacturing flexible product configurations.
8. 5+ years of professional experience in a similar industry.
Desired Skills & Experience:
1. Electrical circuit troubleshooting and soldering.
2. Ability to work from schematics and prints.
3. Experience working with LabView or C++ based test software.
4. Proficiency with Statistical Process Control tools.
5. Proficiency in a second language desired for international customer engagement.
6. Previous experience operating drones or piloting remote-controlled aircraft is desirable.
