Job Description Educational Psychologist | Havering | 2025 We are working with a fantastic Havering-based all-through school looking for an Educational Psychologist. This Educational Psychologist role will see you working within a fantastic school that is currently in a period of growth. This Educational Psychologist role will see you delivering an effective Educational Psychologist service to the school and Local Authority by providing advice and guidance on assessment and interventions for vulnerable students, including those with special educational needs. These special educational needs can include eating disorders, trauma, bullying, or school anxiety. This Educational Psychologist role will see you working with families and other professionals to help support children and young people reach their full potential as well as improve all children’s experience of learning. University degree required to be considered for this role Passionate about improving the social, emotional, and educational lives of children Join a friendly and supportive team Must have an enhanced DBS to be considered Salary of £40,000 to £50,000 – Soulbury Salary Scale A2- Full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4pm This Educational Psychologist role will see you providing: Comprehensive, in-depth assessment of a child’s cognitive abilities using standardised testing. EHCP needs assessments. Consultation and advice for parents, nurseries, schools, and colleges for children and young people with a range of developmental difficulties. Bespoke training to school staff on relevant topics, working collaboratively with other disciplines as required. This ‘Outstanding’ School will see you working with children who are temporarily vulnerable due to mental ill health such as eating disorders and have previously missed out on their education because of trauma, bullying, school anxiety, or stress in their lives. This Havering-based school will see you supporting students and families connected to the school’s on-site specialist children’s hospital. Their multidisciplinary team includes family therapists, psychologists, social workers, activity coordinators, occupational therapists, as well as specialist doctors and psychiatrists.
