Primary KS2 Class Teacher Responsibilities Lead, inspire, and support the KS2 team, promoting high standards of teaching and learning in KS2. Develop and implement creative and effective lesson plans for KS2 students that engage and challenge. Oversee the delivery of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students in KS2. Monitor and assess student progress in KS2, providing targeted feedback and interventions to support achievement. Develop and lead staff training and professional development opportunities within KS2, focusing on Science and Computing. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment in KS2 that promotes high expectations and a love of learning. Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress in KS2 and addressing any concerns. Contribute to whole-school initiatives and collaborate with other leadership team members to drive school improvement across KS2. Primary KS2 Class Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Significant experience teaching in Key Stage 2, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in KS2. Experience in a leadership role or with leading teams is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods for KS2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others in a KS2 setting.
