Are you a graduate considering a career in education, an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking career progression, or a confident individual ready to lead and facilitate lessons across the curriculum? We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable Cover Supervisors to join our team in Bridgend. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of school, supporting students across all subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with set work and stay on task
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning atmosphere
Adapt to cover various subjects, providing students with consistent support regardless of the subject area
Provide feedback on lesson progress to teaching staff and assist students with their learning where possible
Contribute to the school community, working closely with staff to support a productive and inclusive environment
Who We’re Looking For:
Graduates exploring a future career in teaching or education
Experienced Teaching Assistants aiming to advance their careers within a school setting
Confident, adaptable individuals comfortable facilitating a range of subjects
Strong communicators with excellent classroom management skills and a proactive, engaging approach to working with students
An interest in contributing positively to student learning and well-being
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is beneficial
Degree qualification or relevant experience in an educational environment is desirable
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
