Project Controls Manager - Glasgow, Scotland – Long-Term Contract (Freelance)
START: April 2025
DURATION: 12 month initial contract
LOCATION: Glasgow, Scotland
I am currently looking for a Project Controls Manager to join my client based near to Glasgow, Scotland.
The client is currently working on a large CAPEX investment (€400 million) in the Energy industry.
This project requires the Project Controls Manager to work mostly on site near Glasgow. Experience being involved in major projects (>50 million) is essential.
This position requires a candidate with a background working for end client operators in the Chemical / Pharma / Life Science industries.
This requires someone who will oversee and be involved in the development and design of the cost control, estimation, planning and reporting through the full EPCM phases on medium-large scale clean energy-based projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete project schedule, cost management, risk management and document control. They will be expected to build a team, clear the new schedule baseline and create a reliable cost forecast.
PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER - REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or other relevant field of study.
* The ideal candidate has a background in project controls in the chemical industry, or oil & gas sectors with full exposure to basic engineering/FEED, engineering, procurement, production, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCM).
* Be responsible to setup the cost breakdown structure and work breakdown structure systems with the Project Managers and Finance Controllers helping with the monitoring and control of project expenditure and schedule.
* Carry out cost controlling, and project planning looking to develop and manage the systems and procedures.
* Experience using Primavera P6 software in project controls & planning or ASITE.
* English is essential.
