We are currently recruiting a number of Assembly Fitters to join a rapidly growing Engineering client in Havant. In this hands-on role, you will be contributing to the assembly of precision-engineered products - from vehicle frames and battery cases to marine cowlings and other high-quality structures, you will work with a diverse range of materials. Key Responsibilities As an Assembly Fitter, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional quality. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and assembling components to create final products. Interpreting technical drawings to perform precise engineering assembly tasks. Conducting in-process quality checks to meet stringent standards. Collaborating with the engineering team to develop comprehensive work instructions. Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements. Assisting with goods-in and dispatch activities when required. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in your work area. Adhering to quality management systems and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) legislation. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have a passion for engineering, great attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Essential skills and experience include: A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar assembly fitter or engineering role. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Competence in using hand tools and light machinery.
