Workplace Officer / Project Worker Hourly Rate: Up to £19.23 PAYE or £24.50 via Umbrella Location: Sheffield Centre On-site and remote (60% on-site, 40% home working) Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a proactive and experienced Workplace Officer to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing large-scale office moves and refurbishments, including cycle works, roofing, and carpeting across approximately 850 workstations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring all tasks are executed according to plan and will have the potential to advance to a project manager role. Day-to-Day of the Role: Oversee office moves and relocations, ensuring they are carried out floor by floor over a year-long project. Collaborate closely with a full programme team including a strategic lead and project manager. Engage with various stakeholders including customers, contractors, and removal suppliers to ensure smooth operations. Manage and supervise the move management process, setting up offices and handling the customer side effectively. Review plans, engage stakeholders, and provide early warnings signs to pre-empt potential issues. Handle some physical tasks as required, though the role is predominantly supervisory and strategic. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in office moves, relocations, or similar project-based work. Strong planning, customer service, and communication skills. Ability to understand and interpret CAD drawings in PDF format. Proficient in IT skills relevant to office management (Word, Excel, Project). Effective at contract administration and supervising or monitoring staff and contractors.
