Two business support officers to support safeguarding minute-taking across adult social care and provide senior manager support, delivering an effective business support service to front-line and statutory services per relevant government legislation and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support safeguarding meetings by attending and minute taking them directly onto a mobile device.
* Upload minutes and documentation to Erica.
* Distribute approved minutes to professionals/attendees.
* Arrange venues for meetings.
* Coordinate meetings with professionals and families.
* Send team invites as required.
* Support the management of the safeguarding coordination inbox daily.
* Type minutes from recordings.
* Assist with updating the Learning Disability register.
Qualifications:
* Level 2 / 3 qualification, with a business support background or a keen interest in developing within this area.
Knowledge:
* Knowledge of current issues facing local government.
* Understanding the importance of confidentiality and working safely.
Experience:
* Minute taking experience is essential.
* Experience of working within a business support environment.
* Proven experience of handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
* Experience of working with financial information.
* Experience of servicing meetings and minute taking directly onto mobile devices at speed and with accuracy.
Skills & Abilities:
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats with members of the public, other employees, and external organisations.
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g., G Suite).
* Ability to communicate effectively with the public using a suitable level of fluency in spoken English, in line with the English Language requirement for public sector workers.
* Ability to handle and process considerable amounts of manual and computerised information, ensuring accuracy of processing and safeguarding of sensitive and confidential information.
* Ability to organise and prioritise conflicting workloads to meet strict deadlines.
* Ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
* Emotional resilience and composure when dealing with information and situations that are difficult and emotive in content.
