Job Description: Quality & Food Safety Manager Salary from £70,000 plus annual bonus and car allowance Plymouth Site Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality & Food Safety Manager to join Mars; based at our Plymouth site, you will lead the deployment of the Mars Wrigley Q&FS strategy on the site, driving continuous improvement in Quality & Food Safety management systems and compliance to our Q&FS standards. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will play a crucial part in shaping our operational excellence and driving a culture of continuous improvement. Extensive experience within the Quality function Degree level qualification in a relevant technical or scientific discipline (Food Science/Technology, Biological, Chemical, Engineering sciences) or equivalent experience Experience in leading and managing projects in an FMCG environment Proven line management/supervisory experience or a proven track record in coaching and developing teams and individuals Knowledge of the technologies, processes, formulations and raw materials used in the manufacture of food products is preferred Demonstrate an agile approach to communication What will be your key responsibilities? Lead, coach and support a team of Q&FS Associates, ensuring they have the necessary resources, technical skills and competencies to succeed within their roles Actively be part of the Site Leadership team, supporting the development and implementation of the Single site improvement plan. Provide cross-functional leadership to ensure the development of a clear roadmap to full compliance to all global Q&FS standards, collaborating with local and central teams to ensure the necessary resources and capital are secured Ensure the integration of Q&FS procedures and processes into manufacturing operating systems Act as the incident owner for Q&FS incidents on site in line with our PRIMP standard, and lead the implementation of robust corrective and preventative actions Lead and participate in regional Q&FS communities to promote the effective sharing of knowledge and experience across our business Lead regional or cross-site activities and projects in line with our regional Q&FS strategy, and in collaboration with our network of sites.
