Overview
To engineer, design, test, integrate and maintain digital systems and data for rapid, innovative product solutions. Provide support and technical direction/engineering insight on projects for fast and optimal infrastructure/product development. Assist with planning, designing, developing, and testing software systems/applications, and analyzing small and large data for improving reports, cloud adoption and modeling to find rapid product insights and business solutions. Develop modules, components for employees/members to improve UI for multi-device, multi-platform mobile and desktop web applications. Provide support and services for the organization's network systems, applications, and data migration/integration solutions for end user requirements and needs. This level requires advanced knowledge of related digital engineering industry technologies, concepts and trends. Works under minimal supervision on complex to very complex projects and problems. Coaches and provides guidance to less experienced Digital Engineers.
Responsibilities
1. Analyze and develop innovative member and team experiences leveraging the latest technologies in open source and the Cloud.
2. Integrate digital data to develop, configure, model, and document next generation software applications.
3. Implement complete UI for multi-device, multi-platform mobile and desktop web applications.
4. Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units to target systems for automated migration processes.
5. Advocate adaptive planning, evolutionary development, fast delivery, and continual improvement.
6. Assist with new software application development to automate and orchestrate across different platforms, continuous integration servers, and tools.
7. Develop and conduct code reviews with peers to ensure each increment adheres to original version as designed for the user or Process Definition Document to ensure highest quality standards.
8. Coordinate integration of solutions with existing applications; identify and resolve existing conflicts to ensure compatibility.
9. Participate in daily scrums to advance automation, and communicate innovation progress and/or obstacles.
10. Contribute to a culture of collaboration by actively working across business lines, communicating knowledge and business processes to other business units.
11. Create proof-of-concepts to demonstrate viability of solutions under consideration.
12. Analyze software applications functionality and new technologies to optimize effectiveness.
13. Develop/recommend changes to improve usability of digital content, functionality, interactivity, and usability of site(s) to management.
14. Collaborate on reviews to assess the integrity and quality of proposed technical solutions.
15. Develop/maintain organized stylesheets to be shared across several applications.
16. Collaborate with UX designers and other application developers to implement and maintain UI component library.
17. Design/develop accessible, responsive, efficient, reusable UI components following industry standards.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Advanced experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors.
2. Significant experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals.
3. Knowledge with cloud services (Microsoft Azure strongly preferred, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).
4. Significant experience in web application development.
5. Advanced knowledge with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment pipelines.
6. Advanced knowledge with Angular 14+, TypeScript development.
7. Advanced knowledge with coding and documenting JavaScript using JSDoc or similar conventions.
8. Advanced knowledge with data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
9. Expert analytical/quantitative, reconciliation and deductive reasoning skills.
10. Advanced analytical and conceptual skills to create original concepts/theories for various projects.
11. Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
12. Advanced skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy and tact.
13. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
