Hampshire Pension Services deliver a quality pension administration service to scheme members and employers, for four Local Government funds, two Fire authorities and one Police force. We are excited to offer an opportunity in the Communication, Projects, and Development Team as a Pensions Team Manager.
As a small but dynamic team, we focus on enhancing communication with over 300,000 pension scheme members. Our responsibilities include reviewing communications, organising bulk mailings, maintaining our website, and addressing customer feedback including complaints. We can lead and participate in a number of projects including bulk mailings, improving data quality, and conducting targeted surveys. We also run a Development Task program and provide training sessions to increase the knowledge of our staff and members.
Given the diverse nature of our work, the successful candidate will be adaptable and self:motivated individual and will be able to engage with others at all levels, taking the time to understand the entire departments requirements. They will be able to identify problems and creatively find solutions while ensuring high:quality outcomes for our customers. They will also have the ability to motivate and coach others, being a role model to others.
We are looking for applicants to have experience in communications where the focus has been the outcome for the customer whilst adhering to relevant regulations or procedures. Our team investigates and responds to all complaints, using our findings to identify services improvements. These improvements may involve rewriting letters/forms, updating website content, or reviewing process steps. Our goal is to enhance communication with our customers, develop their understanding of complex information, improve their experience with us, and instil confidence in our services.
Our team leads and contributes to large scale projects with a focus on the customer journey. We have a statutory obligation to provide our customers with documents and notifications regarding their pension benefits as well as keeping them informed of scheme updates. We achieve this by organising tasks, collaborating with other teams, regularly reviewing our website, and improving our daily processes.
Development of our staff, and the knowledge of our members, is incredibly important to our department. To ensure our team is well:equipped, we lead a comprehensive training program for all new staff members. This program covers essential skills, procedures, and best practices, ensuring that new employees are confident and competent in their roles. Additionally, we offer webinars for new members of the pension scheme. These webinars are designed to provide clear and accessible information about their pension.
