A highly regarded secondary school in Wood Green, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Science to join their dynamic and supportive team on a permanent basis from April 2025.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging and inspiring science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to the continued success and development of the school's Science Department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in science.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development of science schemes of work and resources.
* Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A degree in Science or a related subject.
* Experience teaching Science at secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
* Excellent classroom management skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
