We have a vacancy for a Senior Clerical Assistant within Communities (Housing) to provide essential support to the South Locality Team who delivers essential services to our customers. The post is based within James Square, Crieff.
The role will provide an efficient and effective clerical support by undertaking a wide range of clerical / administrative duties to support the general day to day administrative functions including handling of mail and operation of Multi-Functional Devices and printers.
Duties will involve reception cover and on a day to day basis you will deal with enquiries from both internal and external customers and maintain a professional approach responding to all queries in an efficient and courteous manner ensuring the Council’s Customer Care standards are met.
For purposes of connection and collaboration with colleagues and with the community we serve, our full-time employees work on site for a minimum of 2 days per week with the arrangements for part time employees being agreed on a basis which will ensure that they benefit to an equivalent degree.

Requirements
You must be computer literate with proven IT skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Have experience of using computer databases.
Hold National Homepoint Standard Level 2 / SVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate proven customer care skills and experience and ability to use a variety of technology effectively.
Excellent communicator to receive and respond to everyday enquiries from and to customers providing accurate information both written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal skills, someone who applies confidentiality appropriately, taking account of data protection and other legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Maintain filing systems, including sourcing and retrieval of files, setting up and closing customer files.
Operating a variety of systems for the input, collation and retrieval of information, carry out searches as required; compile information for reports or presentations and update records.
Information accessed can be confidential and sensitive and you must ensure confidentiality at all times.
You will operate financial monitoring systems within the office and operate PECOS to complete purchase orders and process invoices in preparation for payment.
Support Service Managers/Team Leaders in providing an effective and efficient support service within Locality Services.
Participate in a range of team meetings and liaise with all levels of staff, agencies and service users.
You will promote and maintain a highly professional approach in dealing with the public and other agencies, both directly and indirectly.
Provide cover in other localities as and when required and behave at all times with honesty, integrity and self-respect.
