Support the development of the company's HSE management system, safe systems of work, and associated documentation, ensuring full compliance with company management systems and applicable legislation.
About the Role
The HSE Coordinator will be responsible for conducting site HSE audits and inspections, supporting incident investigation, and reviewing safe systems of work. They will also assist with COSHH, Noise, and HAVS risk assessments, collate and record safety observations, and promote workforce engagement in HSE activities.
Responsibilities
* Conduct site HSE audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
* Support incident investigation and review of safe systems of work.
* Assist with COSHH, Noise, and HAVS risk assessments.
* Collate and record safety observations and interventions.
* Promote workforce engagement in HSE activities and initiatives.
* Deploy and collate weekly and monthly workshop checks.
* Collate and produce statutory records as required.
* Update electronic systems and IMS.
* Support collation of HSE statistics.
* Support DSE assessment completion and emergency response checks.
* Attend HSE-related meetings and take meeting minutes.
Qualifications and Experience
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
* Internal auditor qualification (desirable).
* Formal accident/incident investigation training (desirable).
* Strong knowledge of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Previous HSE experience in a related industry (desirable).
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.
