Are you an experienced Applications Solution Architect with a passion for driving technical excellence and leading innovation?
We are looking for an Application Solution Architect to join our team within our Aerospace Defence and Security Sector. In this role, you will define the solutions for new service capabilities, provide oversight of our existing applications, and shape our data architecture. You’ll be responsible for both current technology components and for aligning service, process, organization, and operating models with our overall strategy.
This is a hybrid working role, where you could be based anywhere in the UK, with weekly travel to our newly refurbished Office in Farnborough, Hampshire and our Newbury site in Berkshire.

What you'll be doing:
1. Technical Leadership: Drive the collaborative effort to define and deliver the solution architecture that satisfies all key stakeholders and meets business requirements.
2. Design expert: Use your expert technical skills and experience to produce durable, flexible and extensible architectural designs.
3. Domain expert: With your deep understanding of the technology domains that are relevant to the solution. These may cover standards, features and products that could be exploited.
4. Risk manager: Assess and quantify the risks associated with the design decisions. These risks must be communicated to relevant parties.
What you’ll bring:
1. Application standards, models and industry trends.
2. Zero-Trust Architecture standards as it pertains to applications and flows.
3. Modern Application and Software Development practices (DevSecOps).
4. Windows & Linux operating systems and appropriate middleware.
5. Security & Cyber awareness, e.g., SEF, Controls, CSD products.
It would be great if you had:
1. Data Centric Security models, labelling and their architectures.
2. Cross Domain Solutions.
3. Application Labelling standards.
4. Application interfaces, e.g., RESTful, API etc.
5. Quality software development practices, standards and tooling.
6. Application-level Automation Technologies, e.g., Ansible, Jenkins etc.
7. Application & Software supply chain management experience.
8. Zero Trust Architecture.
9. Active SC or DV Clearance.
