Summary
The Senior Web Operations Manager at AQA is recognised as the web 'product' owner, playing a crucial role in driving improvements and managing stakeholder relationships across the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT), Customer and Product (C&P), and AQA. This role is integral in overseeing all web operations, aligning projects with AQA's business goals, and ensuring efficient workflow management. The Senior Web Operations Manager is key in shaping the strategic direction of AQA's web presence, ensuring it aligns with the organisation's objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Reporting Structure
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Brand, this senior role sits on the MLT and is at the forefront of AQA's Web Operations Team. As Web product owner, it involves strategic oversight of web operations and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Web Operations Manager leads a team dedicated to ensuring that web projects are effectively managed and aligned with the broader goals of AQA.
Activities:
1. Web Product Ownership and Improvement:
Accountability as the product owner for AQA's website and associated operations.
Drive continuous improvements in web services and platforms.
2. Stakeholder Management:
Manage and nurture relationships with stakeholders within MLT, C&P, and across AQA and 3rd Party vendors.
Strategically align web operations with stakeholder needs and expectations.
3. Operational Oversight:
Oversee all aspects of web operations, being accountable for the smooth running and optimisation, as well as ensuring alignment with business goals.
Be responsible for the implementation of efficient workflow management practices.
4. Team Leadership:
Lead and develop the web operations team.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Need to know:
1. Significant experience in web operations management and digital strategy including SEO.
2. Leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
3. Collaborative and engaging senior leader confident in taking action and decision making.
4. Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management and strategic oversight.
5. A confident and clear communicator, both in person and in writing, the role requires significant networking at all levels within AQA and managing senior external relationships.
6. In-depth knowledge and application of web technologies and digital trends.
7. Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams as well as experience managing external suppliers and partnerships.
8. Experience in product management within a web/digital context.
9. Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
