The role of Assistant Production Manager is integral to ensuring the smooth running of Bakehouse Factory. As a busy events company, Bakehouse Factory produces a large number of events per year in a huge range of locations including public spaces, shopping centres, leisure spaces and commercial spaces. We have a large in-house production team which includes a design department, installations department, technical team and a workshop team with a range of skilled fabricators.
The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for assisting the Head of Production and other leads in the production department. The role takes its workflow from the head of production and must be able to work autonomously and as part of a team to ensure Bakehouse assets are managed properly. During quieter periods this role will be expected to work across the team and support in other departments as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Production and project management purchasing for events, such as craft supplies, props, scenery materials etc.
* Supporting the design and production team with research for materials and products.
* Collating and cataloguing existing set and props to allow design and production to utilise.
* Managing the prop store.
* Working with packing lists and packing production boxes for events.
* Oversee the pulling out of relevant equipment for events from the prop store and warehouse.
* Create working production budgets from design budgets and track costs with them.
* Administrate budgets for production jobs, ensuring that receipts are uploaded to Dext and logged on the relevant event budget.
* Support the administration of workshop timesheets and track these on budgets.
* Support the head of production with scheduling on float.
* Support the head of production by reconciling budgets, post events.
* Manage post in and ensure it is logged or put in the right place. Manage returns for unwanted orders.
* Deputise for the head of production in their absence.
* Collaborate and support across the production team as required.
Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Core hours 9.30am – 5.30pm
