Barhale is looking to grow its M&E team within the water industry, this is a great opportunity to be part of a newborn team and help influence and guide the team as it grows. The mechanical fitter/welder will be part of our installation teams working on the Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Framework for the Anglian Water AMP 7/8 Programme. This is a long-term opportunity – we are looking at a further 10 years of work, with the work being in a 50-mile radius of Northampton. This role requires mechanical equipment to be installed on predominantly Anglian Water clean water and wastewater sites, ensuring health and safety are always adhered to and that issues are resolved promptly and effectively. The Role: The Site Fabricator/Welder is responsible for on-site installation, for the manufacture of medium to heavy, temporary, and permanent pipework and structural installations. Working from drawings supplied by the office team and working on company processes. Working within the M&E team to provide engineering and maintenance solutions to a variety of mechanical systems and processes. Key Responsibilities: On-Site Operations Attend the site following instructions from the M&E Team. Complete on-site installations and fabrication work as specified on controlled documents supplied and within tolerances specified on drawings/tolerances (installation ITP, inspection, and test plan) Maintain good communication with all site personnel during operations, reporting any potential issues or delays. Operational Cut, tack, weld, and drill materials as specified on controlled documents supplied, and manufactured within tolerances specified on drawings. Working with the Supervisor, to complete workshop checklists during production. Provide on-site installation support where required. Other Duties Assist with the goods in process by unloading deliveries, and checking materials received against supplier documentation. Ensure all deliveries specify order numbers and material certificates have been supplied. Handover all paperwork to the Supervisor and confirm receipt of delivery. Contribute to continuous improvement by providing suggestions and feedback to Team Leaders and Management. Work to agreed timescales updating the Team Leader on progress. Key measures & targets: As a Team and Individual we are measured on our health & safety record, quality of installation and delivery on time. Planning and organising the correct materials and equipment to complete the work. Tidy and Organised Vehicle and Gang Kit.
