Learning Support Assistant Location: Boston Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day (Depending on experience) Contract type: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time Start date: ASAP About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students, helping them to engage positively with their education and develop essential social skills. The role involves implementing learning management plans, supporting students both inside and outside the classroom and helping them develop positive social and academic skills. Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with varying needs. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Support classroom activities and ensure all students are engaged and participating. Help to maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment. Monitor and record students’ progress, reporting to teachers and parents as necessary. Encourage positive behaviour and promote self-esteem and independence among students. Learning Support Assistant Job Requirements: Prior experience in working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable is highly desirable. Strong understanding of learning management techniques and effective strategies to support students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families. Patience, empathy and a commitment to providing high-quality support to students with diverse needs. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
