Join Gloucestershire County Council in a vital role within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We are seeking an experienced Social Workers to enhance our team, dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in Gloucestershire.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Work closely with children, young people, and their families, as well as other staff within the service function and partner agencies, to provide support and protection.
* Promote a range of services which carry out statutory duties as required by legislation and guidance.
* Assess the needs of children, young people, and families to plan and implement suitable multi-agency interventions and service provisions to meet needs and review outcomes.
* Build positive relationships through direct work to ensure that the voices, wishes, and feelings of children and their families are heard.
* Prepare high-quality reports for relevant meetings and present them to a variety of other professionals.
* Update and maintain high-quality case files on LiquidLogic, ensuring all key information about the child’s circumstances and plans are recorded within timescales.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Social Work England registration.
* Recognised qualification in Social Work.
* Passed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
* Significant experience of working with children, young people, and families in a social care setting.
* Experience of child protection and statutory childcare.
* Knowledge of all relevant legislation and guidance.
* Effective assessment skills relating to work with children and families.
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
* Full driving licence and willingness to drive.
* DBS clearance.
