Electrical Design Engineer for Business Class Seating
Position: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Remote / Hybrid
Department: Engineering
Reports to: Engineering Manager / Lead Project Engineer
Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Electrical Design Engineers to join our team, focusing on the development and integration of electrical systems for business class seating in commercial aircraft. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace or a similar industry, with a strong background in electrical design and systems integration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Development:
Develop and design electrical systems and components for business class seating, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and in-seat entertainment systems.
Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness designs using CAD software.
2. System Integration:
Integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components to ensure seamless operation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality.
3. Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA).
Conduct safety and reliability assessments to meet certification requirements.
4. Prototyping and Testing:
Develop and oversee the prototyping of electrical systems.
Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the development process.
5. Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
Maintain accurate records of design changes and updates.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry or a related field.
