The candidate will work within the WPB Channels UK Self Service team to achieve the strategic aims of WPB Technology Globally and in UK by providing engineering expertise. The role will take direction from the Global Head of SSD Engineering and work with the other WPB Self Service software development colleagues as well as cyber security. It will have no formal line management duties. He / She will be required to work with original equipment manufacturer/Vendors to evaluate, conduct POCs, assist with OS/product troubleshooting, focus on security needs as per HSBC policies and then introduce product in Bank’s environment.

In this role you will:
1. Support the OS Build Images and Infrastructure software on the UK SSD and Express bank tablet estate.
2. Provide consultancy support on SSD Software development projects.
3. Develop solution to automate and simplify Self Service Device operations.
4. Assist third party field engineers and SSD Helpdesk with Deployment/BAU issues.
5. Own the patching and software upgrade process for SSDs.
6. Assist with Audit discussions related to SSD infrastructure stack and help remediate any findings arising from the audit.
7. Assist with Hardware evergreening initiatives.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
1. Experience in Windows Operating system (Win 10 / Win 11)
2. Extensive understanding of End Computing security and Networking
3. Good understanding of Active Directory/ GPO (Group Policy Object) and SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager)/MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) infrastructure knowledge
4. Strong Troubleshooting skills
